Employment with Fayette County Behavioral Health Administration Program

Employment with Fayette County Behavioral Health Administration  Program require applicants to first be tested and certified by the State Civil Service Commission. The civil service or merit system hires, retains, and promotes people based on their qualifications and ability to perform the work.  The State Civil Service Commission administers the merit system. 

In order for an individual to be considered for employment, their name must appear on a "Local Government" list for the position being recruited.   Employment preference may be given to Fayette County residents.    The following list are some of the more frequent positions that are filled from employment lists supplied by the State Civil Service Commission:

  • Clerk Typist 2

  • County Caseworker 2

  • Mental Health Program Specialists

  • Mental Retardation Program Specialists
