Adult Services

 

Adult Training Facility (ATF)

An ATF offers adults with developmental disabilities assistance and education in the areas of daily living skills, pre-vocational activities and community involvement, and provides for recreational and social opportunities.

Family Driven Services (FDS)

FDS offers adults with developmental disabilities and their families the opportunity to purchase items and services that enhance their ability to remain in their homes. Services include, but are not limited to: sitter/aide, respite, homemaker, recreational/social activities, and adaptive equipment.

Long Term Structured Residential Program (LTSR)

The LTSR is a 24-hour, highly structured, therapeutic residential facility, designed to serve persons eighteen years or older who are eligible for hospitalization, but who are able to receive intensive treatment in a community setting.

Inpatient Hospitalization

There are several psychiatric inpatient hospitals in or near Fayette County that provide 24-hour psychiatric care for adults.

Supported Living

Supported Living provides mental health/ mental retardation supports to consumers in their own homes or rental apartments. Residential support staff provide assistance as needed to help consumers develop skills necessary for independent living.

Community Home (CH)

Community Home provides 24-hours/7 days a week residential support for adults with developmental disabilities. Individuals reside in residences within their community and assistance is provided as needed.

Family Living Program (FLP) / Life Sharing

Life Sharing Providers give adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to reside in "host" family homes and participate as a member of the family while receiving assistance with their daily living needs.

Home-Based Services

Individuals with developmental disabilities and their families can receive in- home assistance to address the needs of their special needs family member. Services can include sitter/aide services, respite and home adaptations.

Partial Hospitalization

Partial Hospitalization is a day program that includes mental health treatment under the direction of a psychiatrist as well as group therapy and psycho-educational activities.

Program Assistance Team (PAT)

Behavioral management services are provided to adults with developmental disabilities to aid in reduction and management of behavioral issues.

Crisis Intervention

Counselors are available in the office or over the phone to speak with adults who are feeling overwhelmed or frightened. The 24-hour crisis phone number is (724) 437-1003

Mental Illness and Substance Abuse (MISA)

MISA services provide assessment and cross-system treatment/ service planning to the population of people with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse issues.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services

Services are designed to meet the needs of adult consumers who have experienced mental illness. Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services provides opportunities to explore vocational interests, participate in work-related activities, and receive social and emotional support.

Outpatient Psychiatric Services

Outpatient Services are available at several locations around the county and includes psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and counseling that is provided in an office or community setting.

Case Management Services

Administrative Case Managers present individuals with free information, referral and monitoring services. Blended Case Managers  work with adults who are having emotional or behavioral problems to find local services like counseling, medical services, recreation programs, tutoring, housing, and more. Supports Coordinators assist adults with developmental disabilities and their families in locating, coordinating and monitoring services received through the developmental disabilities system or in the community.

Consumer Supports/Services

Consumer Driven supports, such as Drop-In Centers, offer opportunities for socialization, peer support and client advocacy.  The Consumer/Family Satisfaction Team assures that consumers of mental health services and families of consumers are receiving quality service.
Also available in the county are Compeer supports and representative payee services.

Vocational

Vocational/Social Rehabilitation Services are designed to assist persons in establishing and achieving their highest level of social and vocational performance and securing meaningful employment.

Community Treatment Teams (CTT)

CTT is an all inclusive, intensive service available to adults in the community.  The service is delivered by a team and includes mental health services, support services and case management.

Warm Line

The Warm Line provides non-clinical peer support to adult mental health consumers and their family members seven days a week from 6:00-9:00 PM.  The phone number is 1-877-MHA-2466.

Supported Housing

The supported housing program for adult mental health consumers includes in-home supports, assistance in locating housing, rental skill building, budgeting and more.

Forensic Services

Counseling and psychiatric treatment is provided to incarcerated individuals when needed. Case Management is also provided to adult mental health consumers who are incarcerated to access services and treatment prior to their release back to the community.

Community Residential Rehabilitation Services (CRR)

CRR is a homelike, non-institutional living arrangement that provides the opportunity to learn skills necessary for independent living for adult mental health consumers.

Social Rehabilitation Program (SR)

SR is a day program for adults and is designed to promote independence by assisting individuals with social, emotional and daily living skills.
